Alton Towers

Drayton Manor Theme Park .

Cannock Chase Country Park

Cannock Chase, an "Area of Oustanding natural beauty" has miles of woodland and heath where Britain's largest herd of fallow deer roam free. The Chase has three Visitor Centres, together with the headquarters of the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust which offers walking holidays in Staffordshire.

Explore the wilder parts of Cannock Chase and discover some of its secrets, spot the wild fallow deer and other wildlife. Safaris are 2-hour midweek trips with the Rangers, for a minimum of 6 people. Wall Roman Site (Letocetum) - English Heritage

The remains of an important staging post on Watling Street, the Roman Military street to North Wales, including an inn and bathhouse. Display of finds in site museum. Picnic area and audio tour available. Shop.

Stafford Castle

Discover 900 years of history. Originally a motte and bailey castle, the stone keep was destroyed during the Civil War. The purpose built Visitor Centre displays artefacts from archaeological excavations and contains a fascinating audio-visual presentation, scale models and hands-on equipment. Mediaeval herb garden. Wedgewood & the Potteries

At the award winning visitor attraction at Wedgwood you can experience the state-of-the-art in 21st Century ceramics manufacture. The Courtyards at Spode are home to the oldest pottery still on its original site. You can also see an extensive collection of figures at Royal Doulton. German & Allied Cemetary

The German Cemetery near Broadhurst Green, on Cannock Chase is a memorial to some 5,000 German war dead, where the servicemen's graves are marked by headstones of belgian granite, set in plots of heather and tended by gardeners.
The cemetery is a tribute to the spirit of co-operation existing between the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgraberfürsorge (German War Graves Commission).

Each year since the memorial was established in 1962, parties of young Germans, have come to Staffordshire and have worked on the grave plots under guidance of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission caretaker.
